B.A.S.I.C. Training:

Body Altering Seriously Intense Conditioning.

When your body reconstructs spent ATP, the "fuel" for human movement, it uses different biochemical pathways depending on the load/intensity/pace and length/volume of work you attempt. Brisk, high intense work will use a different form of metabolic refueling when compared to lower intensity, low load exercises. When we use the term "metabolic conditioning" or "MetCon Workouts" here at StrengthDoc, we're talking about high pace, exhausting work with relatively low loads to permit longer workout times. Typically these exercises utilize body weight exercises like pushups, situps, squats, box jumps, burpees, etc.

Our version of boot camp - we call it BASIC training - is conducted in a group exercise setting under the supervision of one of our BASIC coaches, skilled in the science and art of this approach for developing exceptional levels of fitness. You and a small collective of cohorts will motivate each other to push yourselves further than you would on your own.

These classes are free to Summit Fitness members and are a great introduction to the more demanding CrossFit Summit training classes. BASIC training occurs every Tuesday and Thursday in the group exercise room at Summit Fitness at 12:15 and 6:30PM.
